What do people understand by “home” today? Does the contested concept of Heimat still exist in the singular, or has “home” as a geographical place become obsolete in the 21st century? How do people keep creating new homes?
With around 160 artworks and plenty of space to linger, Tell Me Where Home Is invites visitors to reflect on personal and collective concepts of home and on transcultural encounters. The exhibition aims to foster understanding of the trauma experienced by people forced to migrate and to encourage acceptance of diversity in the formation of new communities: homes everywhere, for everyone.
