Annual Conference of the International Society for Textbook and Educational Media Research e.V.
This year’s IGSBi conference will address aspects of collecting, cataloging, and presenting educational media under the theme “Searching – Compiling – Presenting – Learning – Researching.” These include not only textbooks and other teaching and learning materials for schools—such as school wall charts, atlases, educational and instructional films, digital teaching and learning resources—but also materials for out-of-school settings and adult education, such as children’s and young adult books, textbooks for training, study and continuing education, guides in all media forms (including magazines like Eltern), and eyewitness accounts collected to convey knowledge about specific historical events.
The conference contributions will explore different aspects of collecting, compiling, and providing educational media, as well as the use of educational media collections for teaching and learning processes and research.
